Welcome to our school website. I am proud to be headteacher at Ewanrigg Junior School. I have been part of the EJS family for over 20 years now. It has been a privilege to work with the children, staff, parents and Governors.
Ewanrigg is a happy, inclusive and welcoming school which is at the heart of the community. It is a special place where your child can grow in a safe, nurturing and fun environment.
The Ewanrigg Junior School vision is to help our children develop to “Be All You Can Be” by providing broad and balanced learning programmes, which suit the individual needs of every individual child in our care. In addition we try to ensure that the children are educated in a happy, healthy, safe, positive and pleasant atmosphere where they can enjoy their learning.

There is no place for extremist views of any kind in our school, whether from internal sources - pupils, staff, visiting adults, governors etc. or external sources - school community, external agencies or individuals.
Any prejudice, discrimination or extremist views, including derogatory language, displayed by pupils, staff, visitors or parents will always be challenged and, where appropriate, dealt with.
