We want our Ewanrigg Junior School artists to be confident, expressive, creative and imaginative. We want our artists to be inspired; to learn from famous and local artists, sculptors, artisans and architects as well as theirs peers in order to appreciate, critique and learn from their work. We want our artists to be open minded; to be aware and respectful of the art work from other cultures to their own. We want our artists to be articulate; to use appropriate art vocabulary when discussing art with clarity and thoughtfulness.

We want our artists to be knowledgeable and skilful; to plan, produce and evaluate work using a range of medium enabling them to produce work in painting, drawing, printing, sculptures and 3D form, textiles and collage.

We want our artists to be risk takers; to have no fear of failure when creating and experimenting with their own art work.

We want our artists to have fun; to make their learning memorable through enjoyable, successful and engaging activities.
